By: Tiffany Lane PAWNEE COUNTY, Okla. –The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics says it seized 18,585 marijuana plants during a raid on an unlicensed grow operation in Pawnee County on Oct. 14.
According to investigators, agents with the OBN’s Marijuana Enforcement Team (OBN MET) executed the search warrant at a farm identified as “Wyatt’s Green,” where they also confiscated 1,785 pounds of processed marijuana.
Ten people were taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and officials say more arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
Unlicensed Operation and Illegal Ownership
OBN investigators say “Wyatt’s Green” was operating without a valid license and had an illegal ownership structure.
Agents allege the farm was part of a growing trend of criminal organizations establishing marijuana operations in Oklahoma using fraudulent “straw ownership” schemes.
Crackdown on Illegal Marijuana Farms
The OBN created its full-time statewide Marijuana Enforcement Teams in 2021 to target unlicensed and black-market operations. Since 2022, OBN MET agents have seized more than 1.9 million illegal marijuana plants, over 200,000 pounds of processed marijuana, and made more than 300 arrests.
Officials say the number of registered farms in Oklahoma has dropped from 8,400 in 2022 to roughly 1,960 as of October 2025 — a sign of the agency’s ongoing enforcement efforts.
